Euthanasia
The moral question of assisted suicide is explored in this paper. The parameters of the argument are framed by John Stuart Mills who writes: "...only an individual may determine the necessary path for self-determination (within the context of free will)". Therefore, the paper argues that assisted suicide is wrong because it violates the tenets of free will. Opposing arguments are explored, then discounted. The dilemma of people unable to be in a state of free will (due to brain damage for instance) is addressed. The implicit assumption in the argument is that people operate within a framework of "negative, natural rights". 6 pages.

Is Abortion Immoral?
This argumentative paper explores the different ways in which abortion can be viewed as either morally permissible or morally impermissible. The paper adopts the framework that "right to life" is the most important right since all rights are derived from that. Moreover, the paper also proceeds by relying on the supposition that the right to life permits a "potentially valuable future" for an individual. The paper answers the contra-arguments of why abortion should be permitted, and also addresses the whole question of special exceptions such as the life of the mother and rape. 6 pages.
